FC Interski Development Programme
Managed by EUAFA B qualified full time coach Stewart Rowley the clubs development programme continues to provide quality coaching, education, and playing opportunities.
Development Centre
Founded in 2003 the clubs development centre operates all year round at Ashfield School, Sutton Road, Kirkby-in-Ashfield on Tuesday evenings 5.45 pm-6.45 April to October on the all weather pitch and 6.00pm-7pm November to March in the indoor sports hall.
Development Manager Stewart Rowley and a team of F.A qualified CRB checked coaches deliver a carefully structured coaching programme for boys and girls aged 5-8.
The centre provides a perfect setting for young players to learn new skills and provides the pathways into new teams.
Future managers can be identified, mentored and helped to obtain the qualifications necessary to coach at one of the country’s premier junior clubs.
Holiday Courses
In partnership with Ashfield Sports Development, Ashfield School, Chesterfield Girls Centre of Excellence, Derby county Academy and Linby Ladies the club provides coaching courses throughout the summer holidays. Our last event in August 2004 was a huge success earning great reviews.
School Links
Our team of coaches provide after school clubs and curriculum coaching five days a week in local schools and has provided pathways into teams for hundred’s of local children.
Sports Development
We work closely with Ashfield and Gedling Development providing coaching for Nottinghamshire youth games and in 2005 delivering the Ashfield Festival of Sport annual 2 day football competition.
Professional Clubs
We have official links with Derby County (boys) and Chesterfield F.C.Centre of Excellence (girls) and are proud to exited players to a higher standard of football.
Mentoring
All managers /coaches at our club have mentoring opportunities and hold a minimum of F.A level 1 qualification which includes child protection and emergency aid. All managers and club officials are crb checked.
